3 Ways to Show Appreciation to Your Team after Easter
How are you showing your team appreciation after Easter?
If you haven’t thought about it yet, I think you should! For many worship teams the lead up to Easter meant extra rehearsals, taking off work for Good Friday services, and getting to church extra early and staying extra late for Easter services. That’s a lot of sacrifice! Let your team know it’s seen and appreciated! Even the smallest gesture can go a long way!
Here are 3 ideas for showing appreciation:
1. Thank You Notes
Send out thank you notes letting every individual on your team know how much their hard work means to you, the rest of the team, and the church! This is a great opportunity to get specific! Don’t just say, “thanks for all you do.” Thank them for a real reason!
2. Cancel Rehearsal
If you know WLC well, then you know we’re major advocates for rehearsals! But sometimes it’s okay to take a break. One of those times is after a busy week like Holy Week! Try choosing songs your team knows well for next weekend and take this week’s rehearsal night off! (this is a gift to you too! You get a night off!)
3. Buy Your Team Lunch!
I’m pretty sure food is a universal love language. Take your team to lunch next week after service. Or cancel rehearsal and take them to dinner instead! I know it could be expensive, but I promise it’s worth it! This doubles as appreciation and team building!
It’s likely that no one on your team would want or need or even expect to be thanked. You probably don’t HAVE TO show appreciation at all. I think you should though! It’s more even more fun when they don’t expect it!
So, how are you showing your team appreciation? Something different than what’s above? Let us know!
